WILL FRANK OCEAN MARK THE EVER GROWING PRESENCE OF THE LGBT COMMUNITY?

As you all know, I initially offered "The Ever-Present Absence of the LGBT Community" as a chapter title for 50 SHADES OF BLACK to address some of your comments about the lack of openly gay men and women from the 50 SHADES OF BLACK cover art.  The comments and my subsequent replies have been about my intentional choices as an artist as well as society's (as a whole) seemingly exclusion.

With the recent coming out of artist Frank Ocean, the question is whether or not other artists will slowly begin to emerge.  Will his courage and what some are deeming as pioneering act pave the way for other artists to do what they would have never thought possible?

Might the simultaneously ever-present yet seemingly absent lgbt community move from an ever present absence to an ever growing presence?

Might we as consumers, listeners, movie goers, baby makers to their music, include them in our societal exaltation to the to the canons of icon or universal sex symbol?

Please share your thoughts.
