Fashion Model's Dream Finally Comes True...at the Age of 82

How old is too old to dream?  For 82 year old Jacquie "Tajah" Murdock" the answer is never.  Walking the streets of uptown New York rocking a blue Chanel jacket, she was approached by Ari Seth Cohen one quiet afternoon.

Cohen, the creator of Advanced Style, a blog highlighting New York's older fashionistas who realize that style isn't defined by age, posted several photos of the lovely grandmother of 10 on his blog.  Those photos and the casting help of Cohen landed Murdock in the Fall/Winter 2012 campaign for high fashion house Lanvin Paris.

"This campaign is a dream come true. I grew up in Harlem always wanting to be a model, but in my day there were very little opportunities for women of color to work in fashion.

"At 18 I went from agent to agent looking for jobs, even as a hand model. I have finally made it and I will never give up. Hopefully someday I will get to Paris!"

"One of the best things about starting Advanced Style has been seeing so many opportunities open up for these amazing older women", says Cohen.

Ms. Jacquie Murdock proves to us all that dreams don't have an expiration date.
